Extensive national tv and radio experience Dr Gavin Sandercock is a leading researcher in the area of child activity and fitness. He is the principal investigator for the East of England Healthy Hearts Study – the largest health and fitness survey of UK children and adolescents. He is a senior lecturer in Physiology and Cardiology and specialises in exercise science, including child physical activity and fitness and the effects of exercise on cardiac rehabilitation. He is the Director of the Centre for Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Essex.
