Professor Frank Gunn-Moore

Frank is currently Professor of Molecular Neurobiology and Director of Research in the School. He graduated with a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and gained a PhD from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge; his post-doctoral work was carried out in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Bristol and the Department of Pre-clinical Veterinary Sciences, University of Edinburgh. His current external positions include Deputy Director of SULSA, executive member of the Scottish Dementia Research Consortium, executive committee member for Biophotonics for the Stanford University/Caltech: Scottish Partnership (SU2P) and the Alzheimer’s Research UK network for Scotland, and member of the Alzheimer’s Society grant advisory panel, the Carnegie Trust grant advisory panel and the Cunningham Trust grant funding panel. He is also an invited and elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.
